They say you never forget !

Bald eagle - Cultus Lake
WOW, what a day!

Jane was anxious to indulge in her Ontario maple syrup so we started the day with some organic pancakes and bacon. Delicious! Afterwards we walked it all off by going for a BC stroll - mostly uphill, through a lush forest then back to the cottage along the beach - the scenery is absolutely stunning! I keep imagining Julie Andrews popping up over the mountain top singing The Hills Are Alive. I have to remind myself that I am in Canada and not Europe. Certainly puts the Caledon Mountain and Blue Mountains to shame.
Stacy and Heather decided to bike to the store, oh my. Heather had not been on a bike in thirty years and had a bit of trouble at take off - but like the trooper that she is, did not give up. Off they went. They were gone quite awhile so Jane and I walked up to look for them - humm, it seems that Heather took a spill on the way up the hill. She rallied and completed the task.Don't think she will ride for another thirty years!  When they got back Jane and I went for a ride to try and liberate some parsley from a friends garden.
We spent the afternoon just chilling and talking - you would think we would run out of things to say but we just seem to pick up where we left off and carry on!
Tom arrived late afternoon and took us for a boat ride around the whole lake. This is definitely the end of the lake to be at as the other side is very busy and densely populated. A huge part of the lake is provincial park and it was great to see all the dogs enjoying the warm day playing in the water.
Jane and Tom's kids arrived with their families and Trevor BBQ'ed for us - a lovely evening. After they left Tom regaled us with Brampton stories and jokes.
